Herakles narrator confirmed
Todmorden actress Claire Benedict will play the narrator in the upcoming production of Tim Benjamin's Herakles.
Claire Benedict, whose theatre work includes numerous productions with the Royal Shakespeare Company and the National Theatre, is familiar to many from roles in television dramas such as Waking the Dead and Prime Suspect, among others. Her film credits include Felicia's Journey (1999). She is generous in sharing her skills with the local community and supporting community arts projects. She brings both skill and professionalism to the role of the narrator.
Tim Benjamin has given the narrator the key role of telling to story to the audience clearly, which enables the musical performance to reinforce and comment upon that story more accessibly.
More details about Tim's conception of the role and his compositional process are available in the recorded interview with Tim Benjamin.
